HONEY I'LL BLOCK TRAFFIC FOR YOU
As I have said before it is hard to travel a mile or two without seeing game in the central part of Kruger. On this day Pat and Patsy were in the lead as we motored around. Their job was to spot game and relay its location back to us on the walkie-talkies. The sighting of this big fellow did not happen until he was right out their drivers window.
He then proceeds to lumber along directly towards Pat and Patsy's rig. Patsy is a brave girl, she tells Pat to keep the rig in gear as she lays down on the bed and starts snapping pictures.
If you are viewing this on a large monitor you may be able to see her in the back window.
The park is catacombed with trails, these trails are used heavily by all the animals. P&P must have stopped in the middle of the trail, because the elephant stared at them and almost in slow motion moved directly toward their rig.
After several minutes another elephant ambled up to the road to join the first. It looked like the first had entered the road to stop traffic for the second.

They then stood side by side in the middle of the road as traffic build up in both directions. They appeared in no hurry to leave.
We were not watching the clock but the elephant pair stayed in the middle of the road for maybe 10 minutes, before continuing on their way. This day they were moving so slowly I wonder how far they got.
