GOOD BYE TO KRUGER

We have left  Kruger and continued down to St. Lucia to dip our toe's in the Indian Ocean.  Going through Swaziland without  issues.  There is quite a contrast in life style between South Africa and Swaziland, however the Swazi people were delightful and we thoroughly enjoyed our 2 days there.
I would like to share with you some of the landscapes and facilities in Kruger Park.

In Kruger National self drive tours are encouraged, but for safety reasons you are only allowed to exit your car at designated picnic spots. At  these picnic spots in addition to tables, grills and bathrooms,  a small convience store and a grill spot to purchase a meal.  The sausage on the grill is Wildebeest and the cast iron pot on the ground contains Pap and Sheba

Ron and Pat attacked  huge plates of Borewor Sausage with Pap and Sheba.  They soon discovered that Pap is in fact just plain ol' grits cooked in water and the Sheba is a stew of onions and tomatoes.  The Sheba is quite good but the grits could use a little something extra.

This photo is also from Kruger, allow me one last Kruger animal picture.

This was taken early in the morning the day before we left Kruger.  I showed it to 2 different game guides and they were very interested in it.  The baby Baboon is about 2 months old.  Notice that the mother has her arm around the baby and the baby is gently cradleing  a baby mongoose.  It is this gentle caressing that  interested the guides so much.

Envious we are but so happy you are experiencing what we have always said. If there is one place you have to visit it is South Africa. We are very happy for you. Continue to enjoy and continue your safe journeys.
