The Myan Mountain Resort is right in the middle of a tropical jungle garden. They are a small place with only 14 rooms and lodges, a pool and a patio dining room.
This happy young man is just one of the many new graduates of culinary and hotel management schools that are employed here. We are in the tropics remember, so the kitchen is only partially enclosed.
Ship really got into the hammock on the veranda of his lodging. Now if he can only get out!
Ron and I had a little cottage right at the top of a hill. 23 stairs up.
I would wager that this is a typical Central American street scene. Not to busy, and the drivers are very courteous.
This is the road that greeted us once we crossed the border into Guatemala. Right before this picture the pickup was sliding side ways in the very slick mud. This is the last bit of road to be paved between the border and the Tikal ruins. Thank goodness we didn't bring the RV's. We may have never gotten the mud off them.
I'll bet you never saw a warning sign like this on I-5
Or this Spider Monkey jumping through your trees.

Tikal was magical. Just enjoy the photos.
Young Maya Priest in Traditional dress.
This is the tops of temples above the jungle. Helen and Ron climbed up and took this photo so Skip and I could enjoy the view. We only allowed them to come along as surrogate climbers!
