REAL AMAZON CAMPING

OPTION ONE:  SLEEP IN OUR CHIC CABINS

OPTION TWO: SLEEP IN THE MUD

Patsy and Pat actually choose option two, enthusiastically?
I know where my bathroom is do you?

The anticipation the evening before.

The anticipation the morning of.......

Clouds hover over the anticipation as guide Edson sharpens his machete.  Why does it have to be as sharp as a razor blade?

I can do this!  A piece of cake.

Rafael has a determined look on his face.  Is he worried about pitching tents on this tiny piece of dry land?

First order of business is building a table to keep the gear off the ground.

The two guides and the boat driver then get down to the business of setting up camp.  Their jobs probably depend on keeping these four Gringo's dry and happy.  I wish them luck on the dry part.

As they cut down this considerably sized sapling with Edson's machete, the mystery of the intense sharpening efforts is revealed.

Only Patsy could have done a better job of building a camp fire.

Finishing touches on setting up camp.  Only thing not available is seats and bathrooms. Overheard after dark from the Canadians tent "I got to go to the bathroom"  pregnant  pause, "what's plan B".

Dinner was Chicken Stew!!!

Pats thinking wow this isn't so bad.

Edsons thinking...Get in the tent silly man you are going to be eaten alive by bugs!
