A drive in the country with more ruins

The pavement ends about 2 miles up the road from the RV Park,  What exists beyond the pavement has always been of great curiosity to us.  We couldn't hold out any longer so headed up the shore of Chetumal Bay.  We went as far as this humble restaurant in a gorgeous location. The road continued but it was posted with a sign that was larger than the Jeep.  Very few words on the sign were familiar to us so we decided maybe we had no business continuing down a posted  dirt road.

This lovely blue log cabin was built of palm trees.

The restaurant was air drying Tortilla Chips, No trans fats here.

We stopped at Oxtankah Ruins, because we have trouble passing one up.  On the path in we discovered this Monkey face carved into a root.
